SQM Square Body Torque Motor
In industry, AC motors and gearboxes have generally been used to meet drive requirements, and more recently, torque motors, which are high-pole, low-speed motors, have also been used. However, these torque motors are not a new invention or principle; they are obtained by winding standard servo motors with a higher number of poles. Since each new pole wound increases copper losses, motor efficiency decreases, wasted energy heats the motor, and it must be cooled.
WHY TORQUE MOTOR?
HIGH GAIN IN ENERGY
DOES NOT REQUIRE MOTOR COOLING AS IT ROTATES AT LOW SPEED
NO BEARING FAILURES OR MOTOR BURNOUTS AS IT ROTATES AT LOW SPEED
REDUCED MAINTENANCE COSTS AS THE GEARBOX IS ELIMINATED (Gears, bearings, oil, labor)
SPACE SAVING AS THERE IS NO ADDITIONAL EQUIPMENT IN FRONT OF IT
